This site is home to the Periodic Table of Testing

Quick links to blog posts below:

The Big Test Theory is the place that I (Adrian ‘Ady’ Stokes) put all my thoughts and ideas connected to the Periodic Table of Testing, Accessibility, Poems and a few other bits. Here you will find the latest version of the table and the elements scoping categories.

I hope you enjoy it and please pop along to the blog.  Feel free to ask questions and challenge my thoughts.

Soon you will be able to find details of accessibility training I offer for awareness, testing and conducting accessibility audits. I will be offering reduced rates for startups and none-profit organisations. If you have any questions or a specific request regarding training please get in touch.

All opinions are my own unless credited.  Feel free to use the table in any way you find useful, but I'd appreciate you sharing with me what you do with it and crediting me please, thank you.

I thought this is it, how can things possibly get any better than this. I am home. Well, let me tell you how it got better – the one and only Ady Stokes is how. His talk was on the Periodic Table of Testing, an exhaustive list of every type of testing you could think of, as well as important definitions and considerations to make when testing. I would highly recommend going to his website The Big Test Theory to have a look around.

Current Periodic Table

I'm Ady Stokes and i've been in and around testing through audit activities since the mid-1990s and involved in testing and software development since 2005. I blog, although not often enough, at thebigtestheory.com and have spoken at Leeds Tester Gathering, Agile Yorkshire, Leeds Testing Atelier and at work where I have also run workshops.

Highly recommend all the speakers but if you want to jump my talk begins at 53:26.

Compered by Lesley Walkinshaw we have two excellent speakers lined up and a cool flash talk at the end too! Elena Prilutskaya, QA Engineer at Godel Technologies Europe Limited talk on 'The context-driven testing promotes testing of the software based on the specifics and context of the project rather than books methodology testing or use of best practices.'

Colleagues to Community, talk from Leeds Test Atelier on building an internal community at Computershare in Skipton.  Other great talks from Atelier are available.

I'm passionate about exploring and testing software as part of the creation and development of useful applications. I strongly believe in collaborative methods and using different thinking techniques to look at things from all angles. I have been published in Testing Experience magazine and The Testing Planet.

The latest Leeds Tester Gathering from 9th September 2017 featuring talks on alternative meetings, accessibility and with yours truly as host.

Compered by the fabulous Ady Stokes we have two excellent speakers lined up and an insighful talk from our sponsors on the current testing staffing market and what skills are in demand. --------- --------- Our wonderful sponsors: Fruition IT Is Leeds Best in Test?
