I’ll Test in Live: TestBash 99 Seconds Song

The Ministry of Testing’s Test.Bash() event on the 28th of October 2021 was a brilliant event as was to be expected. Despite not being originally scheduled after a little nudge from yours truly the famous (or in some cases infamous) 99 Second Talks were added to the program. As seems to be my tradition now, I debuted a new testing song.

Being unable to play the piano the wonderful start was skipped but hopefully that didn’t detract too much from the underlying message. So I humbly present;

I’ll Test in Live

Lyrics butchered by Ady Stokes

At first I was afraid, I was petrified

I didn’t know if they would even let me test in live

But then I spent so many nights thinking what users do wrong

And I grew strong

And I learned how to get along

No turning back

It’s no disgrace

I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face

I could address all of your fears, I could show you what’s the key

If I’d have known for just one second all the questions you’d ask me

Go on now go, ship out the door

Just turn monitoring on

‘Cause we’re not frightened anymore

We push to production and our software’s flying high

And it didn’t crumble

And we gave A and B a try

Oh no don’t cry, we will survive

Oh, as long as we know how to test, I know we’ll stay alive

I’ve got lots of tests to give

And the project will forgive, our tests in live

Our test in live, hey, hey.

Now imagine violins
